My fiancé and I were at your Scarborough store and I just wanted to say that the sales associate and manager, Wayne Knox, was amazing! He didn't pressure us to buy (although we did) and was very sincere and confident about the rings he was showing us. He truly made our shopping experience the best we've had in all our wedding planning! It was the least stressful thing I've done thus far - and with the wedding only two months away his service is the only one we RAVE about! Your selection of rings was great with so many price ranges to choose from! We'd gone to more than a few "box" stores like Birks and Peoples and found their associates not nearly as friendly and accommodating as Wayne was. He really made us feel special! In the other stores the clerks gave us that look like "we know you can't afford what we offer" without ever asking what our price range was and made me feel insignificant. Not so with your store! I want to thank you (and him, Wayne Knox) for the fantastic service and for making me feel special! When I wear my wedding band, not only will I be reminded every day of the vows I'll have taken but fondly of how well we were taken care of. Dear Andrew: I am unsure as to whether you will remember me or not, but I was just in on Saturday to pick up what I thought to be my wedding set that was to be sized, repaired and soldered. You and the staff at Spence Diamonds create a whole new meaning for the words CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was concerned to leave my set with you because I have never been without it and I had never removed my wedding band from that finger in 10 years. Needless to say, I was nervous to take it off and nervous to leave it. To some this is "no big deal", but when I was pregnant my hands were so swollen the rings actually hurt my finger and I still insisted on leaving them on. The reason I am telling you this is because my husband called you to upgrade my diamond in my engagement ring to a much larger stone and wanted to keep it a surprise and you took the time to share that with your staff and they did all they could to keep me from knowing, which was a challenge because I was so adamant about needing the details of the whole process. I also had Spence repair my husband's wedding band and keep that a secret from him and you were all there to help me out with that as well. When I was presented with the NEW and much LARGER diamond I almost fainted. I feel like I was engaged for the first time all over again. Everyone was so incredible in helping out with all of the surprises - the ring for me and the ring for my husband. You have to know my husband to know this is not typical of him and everyone helped him pull it off and surprise me with something so beautiful that a simple thank you just doesn't seem like enough. I am sure you receive letters like this often, but I just hope you know that all of this meant the world to my husband and I will tell this story over and over for years to come.
